About Us | Meet The Team

Here we are Team Floramay !

Always busy working hard behind the scenes to bring you beautiful flowers.

Here are the bits you generally don't see, early flower market mornings, Packed Vans, Intricate wedding Prep, Up cherry pickers, working outdoors and Usually knee high in something!

But we wouldn't have it any other way, because when we get to that perfect end result, which is the bit you do see, the smiles and amazing reactions make it all worth it.

I have been a florist for over 30 years now working my way through different areas and experiences in my career, from working as a Saturday girl in a local shop in Kennington, southeast London and being lucky enough to be trained there by a great boss who taught me most of what I know to going on to be the in-house florist in some of London’s best 5-star hotels and freelancing for leading Westend names in floristry.

In 2005 I became self-employed knowing that eventually I wanted my own successful florist shop and after a lot of hard work, heading back to the area where it all began I opened Floramay in Kennington in 2007, over 7 years I gained an excellent reputation for providing beautiful flowers whether for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, funerals or corporate clients which included The Imperial War Museum, Stena shipping, The Stroke Association, London Philharmonic Orchestra and Savill just to name a few and I enjoyed every minute.

In 2012 the time came again for change as the way we shop had changed so Floramay operated from its home-based workshop in Bromley, Kent with a website where we offered the chance to shop for beautiful gift flowers or sympathy flowers online, following the success of the Kennington shop we gained an excellent customer base in and around Bromley and were able to provide deliveries across south and central London.

In 2020 Covid 19 had an impact on us all and like many businesses we had to adapt and make changes, overnight covid had caused the loss of my corporate contracts, companies that I had worked with for the past 13+ years. I like probably many of you re-evaluated how and where I wanted to be going forward, my husband and I decided to follow our dream of coastal living and in 2021 Floramay’ s new home moved to Bishopstone, Seaford, East Sussex. With new branding to mark our move we remain a web-based florist operating from our new home studio to continue to provide beautiful flower deliveries in Seaford and around East Sussex.

I am always ready to offer suggestions and ideas, flowers will always be my inspiration…
